I enjoy reading threads where people honestly share what worked and what failed for them. Price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Shipping speed is not everything, but extremely slow delivery is very annoying. I also like when stores show real photos without heavy editing or strange angles.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback. From my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. I also like when stores show real photos without heavy editing or strange angles. Metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. Whenever I find something that actually works well, I tend to reorder it later.
